After playing at the lake for awhile, we headed back to the cabin for lunch and then Mark and his brother, Blain took off for some power fishing. My sister-in-law, Nancy, and I were getting rather annoyed when they hadn't returned 4 hours later. We were to the point of not speaking to them when I heard Mark's truck pull up and Mark yelling hysterically at the top of his lungs for us. When we got outside, this is what we saw......

I, personally, thought it was disgusting, but Mark was very, very, very proud of his catch.

A whopping 43 inches!!

So.....now we have Pike for days. It's pretty good grilled with peach salsa!!!

On Memorial weekend, we headed out to our future home near Durango, CO - Vallecito Lake.

Isn't it pretty!

It rained most of the weekend, so we had to spend the weekend all bundled up with the heater on, but it was still perfect.

Rianna had a blast on the merry go round:

What a cutie!

The nature and wildlife at Vallecito is just gorgeous!

Stay tuned for Mark's Monster Fish!!

Denny loves playing guitar so he was more than happy to show off his new "flying v" during the Spring Guitar Concert at his school! He's gonna be famous one day, I know it!!

My husband, the killer of animals, recently dragged us out with him to "scout" for some poor, defenseless prairie dogs. We packed a lunch and Denny's dirtbike and headed out:

Denny had a blast riding his bike:

He only got off to eat some lunch, pout because I was taking his picture and tease his sister:

Soon, the murdering men left us to go do their thing. Even though he enjoys killing innocent little prairie dogs, he still looks damn good!
Photobucket
Rianna had nothing to do but play in the dirt and play she did!!

Aren't these adorable?

She even took a "ride" on the dirtbike!

Yes, I'm a little behind - I'm just getting around to posting our Easter photos. We don't have many - it was a cold, rainy day and Rianna had a major allergy/eczema flare up. She woke up with her eye almost swollen shut and her cheeks fiery red:

But she felt fine and put on her pretty dress:

We hid eggs in the house for her to hunt with her Ducky Easter Basket:

Here's the eggs she colored all by herself:

She quicky tired of the whole egg hunting thing, though and soon plopped herself down to color:

Instead of just getting regular old tickets to the Monster Jam World Finals, we purchased the "Double Down" package. With this package, we got t-shirts, dvds, pins, etc. We also got to go to an exclusive pit party on Friday where all the drivers were signing autographs, etc. There was also a huge barbecue with lots of yummy burgers & hot dogs. And there was plenty of other activites as well.....

Ready for the Pit Party!

My son, who usually panics and hides at the very sight of my camera, happily posed for pics with several of the drivers:

Rianna wasn't interested in autographs, but she did get her face painted!

And on Saturday night - THE MONSTER JAM WORLD FINALS!
Some awesome jumps!

Travis Pastrana himself did the freestyle in his Nitro Circus truck

Of course, the wrecks were pretty cool too

This wreck was kinda scary - the truck was sliding into a turn and ended up cartwheeling into the stadium!

Thankfully, nobody was hurt and the driver was uninjured as well.
It was so much fun!
